French distributor Eurozoom is the latest foreign buyer to be Struck by Lightning, as the company snatched up French-speaking rights in all media for the high school coming-of-age comedy written by and starring Golden Globe-winning actor Chris Colfer of Glee.
Lightning Entertainment closed the French deal for the Brian Dannelly-directed film at AFM, where Lightning Entertainment president Robert Beaumont is introducing the title to foreign buyers.

The French deal, negotiated between Lightning?s VP of International Sales, Mathilde Epstein and Eurozoom president Amel Lacombe, follows a raft of international territory sales, including ones to Australia, South Africa, Eastern Europe and much of Asia.
In the film, Colfer stars as the 17-year-old Carson Phillips, a high-school senior who devises a blackmailing scheme to improve his chances of getting accepted into a top college.?Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids), Allison Janney (The Help), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Dermot Mulroney (The Grey) and Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) also star.
Struck by Lightning is a co-production between Permut Presentations and Camellia Entertainment.
Tribeca Film picked up the comedy for U.S. release and is planning a day-and-date theatrical and on-demand release in December.
Lightning Entertainment has had sales success at this AFM with several of its titles, among them the action feature Dead Drop starring Luke Goss, Cole Hauser and Nestor Carbonell; Liam Hemsworth-starrer Love And Honor and Whole Lotta Sole starring Brendan Fraser from? director Terry George (Hotel Rwanda).
