MIAMI (AP) ? Authorities were seeking more witnesses Tuesday to help explain what led a naked man to start chewing another naked man's face and whose only response when confronted by police was to growl and keep attacking - even after being shot.

At least one witness so far has said he saw the attack Saturday on a busy highway off-ramp. Police have identified the attacker as Rudy Eugene, 31.

The victim, who has not been identified, is in critical condition at a hospital. Both men were naked at the time of the attack, The Miami Herald reported.

"We know that there were many people on the MacArthur Causeway and we're hoping they come forward," Detective William Moreno was quoted Monday by the newspaper as saying.

Police have released few details about the attack, other than confirming that an officer had fatally shot a suspect.

A police spokesman and the Miami-Dade County medical examiner did not immediately return telephone calls Tuesday from The Associated Press.

Witness Larry Vega was riding his bicycle Saturday afternoon off the MacArthur Causeway that connects downtown Miami with Miami Beach when he saw the savage attack, he told local news media.

"The guy was, like, tearing him to pieces with his mouth, so I told him, 'Get off!'" Vega told Miami television station WSVN (http://bit.ly/L6kwWt). "The guy just kept eating the other guy away, like, ripping his skin."

Vega flagged down a Miami police officer, who he said repeatedly ordered the attacker to get off the victim. The attacker just picked his head up and growled at the officer, Vega said.

As the attack continued, Vega said the officer shot the attacker, who continued chewing the victim's face. The officer fired again, killing the attacker.

A surveillance camera from The Miami Herald building nearby captured images of the men's naked legs lying side by side after the shooting.

Vega said the victim appeared gravely injured.

"It was just a blob of blood," Vega said. "You couldn't really see, it was just blood all over the place."

Vega declined to speak Tuesday with The Associated Press. He said he was trying to put the attack behind him.

Ives Eugene, who identified himself as Rudy Eugene's uncle, described his nephew as a "nice and hard-working" man who washed cars at a local dealership.

In a telephone interview, Eugene, 55, said his nephew had asked his girlfriend to borrow her car, but she said no. "So he rode the bicycle, and he never came back home."

Ives Eugene said the family heard Monday about the attack but did not know what sparked it.

Rudy Eugene's ex-wife declined to be interviewed when reached by The Associated Press by telephone.

The combination of oak, brass, and old pictures make it a haven for those looking for a cozy atmosphere. The background music takes you back in time. And the friendly staff makes you feel really quite at home. Another thing that sets P.J. Clarke?s apart from many other Gold Coast restaurants is its private party room where you can enjoy any kind of celebration you have in mind. The atmosphere in the room is very relaxing and quite versatile, enabling you to customize the design according to your party?s needs. The Clover room has an antique bar that adds to its charm as well as direct satellite TV and music for those who wish for lively entertainment. The food and drinks can be customized for your party?s needs, whether it?s just a simple business meeting, a cocktail party, or a rock and rolling birthday party. It also has a balcony that provides you a scenic view of the happenings on the street below. P.J. Clarke?s is a Chicago restaurant that is also a Chicago bar. While there are many Chicago bars in the area that offer lovely drinks and high energy, there is only one where you can find a ?Cheers?-like atmosphere. The bartenders, unlike in some Chicago bars, are efficient, amiable, and very knowledgeable about their liquor. Aside from great service, this Chicago bar also has a wide variety of alcohol on their menu, both imported and local. The price, like their food, is very reasonable. To top of the ?Cheers?-like atmosphere is the decor. Unlike other Chicago bars that have a more modern design, P.J. Clarke?s is a Chicago bar that brings back the yesteryears. With tunes from the 1960?s like Frank Sinatra playing in the background, surrounded by carved oak and brass railings, one cannot fail to feel nostalgia and homey in such an atmosphere. Many locals come to relax and get together with friends or family while tourists visit to breathe in a bit of history and have some fun. Everyone who comes to this Chicago bar is never disappointed. While tourists may feel that they?d want to try other Chicago bars, many recurring visitors simply stop looking and just head straight to P.J. Clarke?s for a bit of beer and entertainment.

FACT CHECK: Romney off on Obama's love for unions

When Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney decried President Barack Obama as beholden to the nation's teachers' unions and unable to stand up for reform, he glossed over four years of a relationship that has been anything but cozy.

Obama has promoted initiatives that encourage districts to tie teacher evaluations to student performance and to expand the number of charter schools ? actions the teacher unions have long been against, and which Romney himself promoted Wednesday in a speech in Washington outlining his education platform.

He also painted a bleak picture of a country where millions of kids are getting a "third-world education" and whose international standing has fallen far behind, an assertion frequently used by politicians and debated by academics, though the most recent tests show that U.S. student scores haven't changed significantly and remain about average.

Here are some of Romney's statements on education, and how they line up with the facts:

ROMNEY: "President Obama has been unable to stand up to union bosses ? and unwilling to stand up for kids."

THE FACTS: Several of the core tenets of the Obama administration's signature education initiative, the Race to the Top competition, are policies first heralded by Republicans and are in opposition to the steadfast positions of teacher unions on topics like school choice and merit pay for teachers.

In order to qualify for a slice of the $4 billion allotted for the first two rounds of the grant competition, more than a dozen states changed laws to link teacher evaluations to how well students perform on tests. The Department of Education also rewarded states that had lifted caps on the number of charter schools and created performance pay plans to award teachers whose students have made the most progress.

When a board of trustees in Central Falls, R.I., voted to fire all the teachers at one of the state's worst-performing schools in early 2010, Obama said the dismissals were an example of why accountability is needed at the nation's most troubled schools, causing a furor among union advocates.

At its annual meeting last year, the National Education Association, the country's largest teachers union, sent a message to Obama that it was "appalled" with Education Secretary Arne Duncan's practice of focusing heavily on charter schools, supporting decisions to fire all staff and using high-stakes standardized test scores for teacher evaluations, along with 10 other policies mentioned.

"Obama has taken on teachers unions unlike any previous Democratic president," said Tom Loveless of the Brookings Institution. "Because of that his support among union members, although it is still there, is rather tepid."

ROMNEY: "The two major teachers unions take in $600 million each year. That's more revenue than both of the political parties combined. In 2008, the National Education Association spent more money on campaigns than any other organization in the country."

THE FACTS: Romney is correct that the NEA and the American Federation of Teachers pull in a lot of cash. The NEA took in more than $399 million in 2011, according to its annual report filed with the U.S. Department of Labor. A similar report from the AFT shows it took in more than $211 million last year.

But neither was at the top of the political spending list four years ago. In 2008, the NEA doled out $29 million to federal, state and local political efforts, federal data show. That ranked them a distant third in political spending by labor unions that year. The Service Employees International Union was first, with $67 million, and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees was second with $63 million.

ROMNEY: "More than 150 years ago, our nation pioneered public education.?We've now fallen way behind."

THE FACTS: Romney backed this assertion with figures from the most recent Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) results, which tests 15-year-olds around the world in math, reading and science. The United States ranked 14th in reading, 17th in science and 25th in math out of 34 developed countries. Those figures have been frequently cited by the Obama administration as well.

The test has only been administered since 2000, and shows U.S. students consistently hovering right around the average, at about the same achievement levels in math and reading as countries like Sweden, the United Kingdom and France. Overall, the U.S. scores are about the same as they were a decade ago, while some countries have improved.

"A better way for him to state it is to say American achievement is mediocre," Loveless said. "It's been mediocre for 50 years."

Romney also asserted that millions of students are getting a "third-world education." Looking again at the PISA test, students in schools where more than 75 percent of children were eligible for free and reduced-price lunch ? a key indicator of poverty ? scored an average of 446 points in reading. That's at about the same level as Chile and Serbia. Meanwhile, those in the wealthiest U.S. schools score nearly as high as the top performer, the Shanghai region of China.

ROMNEY: Students participating in the Washington, D.C., Opportunity Scholarship program made gains and "after three months, students could already read at levels 19 months ahead of their public-school peers."

THE FACTS: Romney's description of the success of the school voucher program, which helps low-income children in the nation's capital attend private elementary, middle and high schools, doesn't match up with Department of Education evaluations.

A congressionally mandated review of the program released in 2009 found that after three years ? not three months ? only some students saw those gains. About one-fourth of children who used the scholarship read 19 months ahead of their peers after three years. In general, however, students' gains were more modest. After three years in the program, students read at about four months ahead of their public-school peers.

A 2010 evaluation of the program found that on average, after four years, reading and math test scores of opportunity scholarship students were statistically similar to those not offered scholarships.

The program did, however, significantly improve students' chances of graduating from high school.

In addition to selecting search keywords related to your business category, you may also want to select keywords for your most popular products or services. You should also consider the reasons someone might be searching for your business type. For instance, if your business sells kitchen countertops, you probably want to reach consumers who are considering remodeling their kitchens. So in addition to ?kitchen countertops,? you may also want your ad to show up for consumers searching for terms like ?kitchen remodeling? or ?redo my kitchen.? It?s also a good idea to choose keywords that are present on your business website. These keywords have the most relevance to your search ads because they are the terms a consumer expects to find on your website when they conduct a search.

Do Basic Keyword Research

Use Google?s Keyword Tool to come up with a list of related keywords you want to use in your search ads. Phillip Phillips' 'Idol' Victory And The Cry Heard 'Round The World

When his tears fell during Wednesday's 'American Idol' finale, Phillips instantly became the most relatable champ in the show's history.

I think I'm finally coming around on Phillip Phillips.

Yes, I'm aware that I've spent the past 19 weeks making fun of his grouting delivery (that's "growl/shouting," for the uninitiated), criticizing his every performance and referring to him as "Kris Allen 2.0," but none of that comes into play here. Because what changed my opinion of Phillips had nothing to do with his singing — in fact, the moment of reconsideration actually occurred when he wasn't singing. It happened when he was crying.

See, when Phillips broke down in tears during his performance of "Home" on Wednesday night's "American Idol" finale, it wasn't just the show's most touching moment in years, it was the most personal he's gotten all season. It taught me more about him than any hometown-visit piece or expertly edited contestant-confessional vignette ever could. For the entire season, he's been an enigma, a slightly scruffy oddball who never really seemed to be that interested in actually winning (or taking Tommy Hilfiger's fashion advice). Early on, he built a wall around himself, and he never let viewers get a glimpse at what lay inside — until he finally allowed himself to get lost in the moment of triumph, as the confetti fell and the audience cheered. That's when the wall came down and the tears began to flow.

And that's when I realized that everything I knew about him was probably wrong.

Because Phillips isn't some aloof, obstinate singer/songwriter dude who's been to a ton of DMB shows. He doesn't possess the supreme ego required to believe that his words are poetry and his songs can save the world. He is just a regular kid from Leesburg, Georgia, one who says stuff like "Music's fun, dude," and one who was overcome with the emotions of the moment and the sheer magnitude of his "Idol" win, to the point where singing his coronation song became secondary and all he wanted to do was share his triumph with his family. And that's exactly what he did, performance be damned. In other words, he acted exactly like you or I would, had we just won an internationally famous singing competition and suddenly become a star.

In that instant, I realized that Phillips has never had a day of stage training in his entire life, that, unlike pretty much everyone else who auditions for "Idol," he hadn't been dreaming of this moment since he was a talent-competition tyke. He truly never believed he could win, because normal people never would. And so he started crying, real genuine tears, the kind that seize your body and make everything else an afterthought — the kind that professional entertainers rarely get, mostly because they prevent them from entertaining. I've never been able to fathom how a person could cry and sing at the same time, and yet, each year on "Idol" (and on stages around the world), I see trained talent do exactly that, shed crocodile tears while still nailing the chorus. It is oddly robotic, not to mention slightly off-putting. I'm glad Phillips didn't try to do it, and now I know why.

I'm not sure if his "Idol" victory is good for the show (probably not), or if he'll be able to buck the recent trend and actually become a superstar (though "Home" is a nice start), but for one night, I wasn't concerned with either of those things. Phillips' emotional outpouring may very well have been the Cry Heard 'Round the World, serving notice that he's much more than the realest "American Idol" champ in history: He's an actual human being. In that moment, he became instantly relatable, even to his staunchest of detractors (like me). And because of that, I'm willing to let my icy heart thaw just a little bit and wish him the best. And even though it goes against my every willfully difficult impulse I'll close with this: All hail Phillip Phillips, the People's King. Long may he reign.

Sharon Stone Sued By Ex-Nanny!

Legendary actress Sharon Stone may have a pretty serious legal battle ahead of her after one of her former nannies failed a lawsuit against her this week. The woman, Erlinda Elemen, was just one of the nannies Stone used to employ to care for her children. Apparently Elemen did such a good job that she was promoted to ?lead nanny.? But according to recently filed documents, that title didn?t earn her much respect. The accusations include issues related to labor and pay, and of course, racial discrimination. One of the specific claims is that Stone allegedly told the nanny to stop talking to the family because she didn?t want her children to ?talk like her.? Also, she allegedly poked fun at her accent. Even worse, RadarOnline reports that Stone allegedly said that Filipino people were ?stupid? and even banned Elemen from keeping a bible in the house. As for the labor issues, the nanny?s attorney said in a statement: ?Because abuses in overtime pay are common for household employees it seems ironic that Ms. Stone initially did the right thing and paid Mrs. Elemen overtime wages and then terminated her for accepting those same wages.” All of this apparently happened [...]
