six cleanup sites in Long BeachCalifornia Coastal Cleanup Day is the largest volunteer event in the state. Every year on the third Saturday in September, tens of thousands of people head out to beaches, lakes and inland waterways to clean up trash. This event gives citizens an opportunity to take an active role in improving the health of our environment. You can make a difference!

There will be six cleanup sites in Long Beach:

Alamitos Beach ? Ocean Blvd at Alamitos Ave
Alamitos Bay Marina ? 255 N Marina Dr
Belmont Plaza Pool ? 4000 E Olympic Plaza
Bluff Park ? Ocean Blvd at Coronado
Mother?s Beach ? E Appian Way under the 2nd St bridge
Pierpoint Landing ? 200 Aquarium Way

The event takes place from 9am-noon. All you need to do is show up! Bring sun protection, shoes and drinking water. Bags and gloves will be provided, but to reduce the amount of trash we create, we are also encouraging the public to bring their own reused or reusable bag or container and work gloves.
